Pedagogue Solutions Returns to its Assessment Roots

For us it’s not so much a change as a return to our roots...

In the early 1990s, Pedagogue Solutions created one of the very first electronic assessment systems. We called this DOS-based product PedagogueTesting, and it was an immediate success. During this time we also entered the related world of eLearning.

Writing Distractors for Multiple Choice Questions

Everyone knows what a multiple-choice question looks like, but not everyone knows how to name the parts. The part that contains the question is called the stem. The choices from which the student chooses are called the choices. The choice that is correct is called the correct answer (or best response) and the incorrect choices are called the distractors.

How well you write the distractors controls the difficulty of the question.
